406 WH

The Kannd 406WH meets full GMDSS / SOLAS requiremnts as a float free EPIRB. It transmits on 406.025MHz and has a 121,5MHz homing signal.
The KANNAD Float Free unit has the most rugged and strongest cases on the market and most important it is UV resistant and is not prone to premature activation Kannad 406WH EPIRBS hold approvals in most countries around the world and are programmed by SAS before despatch.

The 406S is a base unit of the 406WH but is not a float free unit . this is ideal for most cruising non USA registered vessels and comes complete with a HD storage case to protect the antennae.

406SW

as 406S but fitted with water activated switch to meet USA approvals. This unit has a special carry case to prevent accidental activation. Also a "carry off unit "

Lightweight at 460grams and is Cospas Sarsat approved. it comes complete with a wearable bum bag so is ideal for the helmsman to wear or can be used as a PLB by pilots of aircraft and or tramping. This unit has been used successfully in many rescues and is popular due to its size and weight.

121.5Mhz Beacon

The RES-Q-SAT RB2 Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon(EPIRB) will raise the alarm and give your location in an emergency situation.

It is capable of transmitting continuously for 4 days in seawater at 15 degrees.Following manual activation it will transmit a continuous radio signal on 121.5 and 243 MHZ international distress frequencies, accessing the COSPAS/SARSAT Satellite Aided Search and Rescue System.

Approved to Australian and NZ Standards
A pilot light will show red as an assurance to those waiting rescue that the EPIRB is transmitting
